Castrol Syntilo 25

Creep Feed Grinding is a method of metal removal which is becoming more and more widely used. In the earlier machines, which supply coolant at moderate pressures, ie 3-6 atmosphere, conventional soluble oils gave very satisfactory results. However, the most modern machines, such as those built by Elb-Schliff and by Marbaix, feed the fluid to the grinding wheel at very high pressure, ie 9-13 atmosphere.

These advanced Creep Feed Grinding machines require a coolant which not only allow a very good finish to be achieved; gives a long wheel life; prevents corrosion, but is also highly resistant to foam and minimises mist build up in workshops.

Castrol Syntilo® 25 is a synthetic, nitrite free grinding fluid, which is Castrol's latest answer to these problems. It may be used both for Creep Feed and general grinding with no inclination to foam or mist. Castrol Syntilo® 25 is compatible with both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
