ALDEN HVI 68 HYDRAULIC OIL
A light viscosity premium quality grade of hydraulic fluid with a very high viscosity index. Consists of solvent refined mineral oils, a multifunctional additive system, viscosity index improver and a pour point depressant.
SPECIAL FEATURESAlden HVI 68 is a premium quality grade of hydraulic fluid conforming to an ISO VG 68 viscosity specification. The inclusion of the viscosity index improver provides the hydraulic fluid with very good temperature - viscosity characteristics to minimise the effects of temperature change on fluid viscosity. Alden HVI 68 exhibits the following special features:- • Based upon high quality solvent refined mineral oils with low aromatic carbon content. • Contains a multifunctional additive system. • High viscosity Index. • Good temperature - viscosity characteristics. • High shear stability for maximum consistency over a wide range of operating conditions and long working life. • Good oxidation resistance. • Good anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties. • Good demulsibility.
APPLICATIONSAlden HVI 68 is suitable for use where an ISO VG 68 grade of hydraulic oil is specified and where the variation of viscosity during operation must be minimised. Typical applications are in precision machine tools and plant where viscosity change is undesirable. It is also useful in older hydraulic equipment where malfunction can occur due to loss of viscosity when the fluid is hot. Note: Due to this product containing zinc it is NOT SUITABLE for use in systems containing silver or silver plated bearings. TYPICAL TEST DATAAppearance : Clear straw fluid. Kinematic Viscosity @ 40°C : 71.87 mm2/s Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C (IP 71, BS 2000 Pt. 71) : 6.95 mm2/s Viscosity Index : 140 min. Specific Gravity : 0.872 Flash Point (PMCC) (IP 34, BS 2000 Pt. 34 ASTM D93) : 190°C min. CA Value : 10% max. Pour Point (IP 15, BS 2000 Pt. 15) : - 10°C max.
Alden HVI 68 is available in 5 litre cans, 25 litre drums, 205 litre barrels and bulk road tanker. |
